Overview – Individual Homeschooled Students
Our Creative Writing program (max 6 per class) gives homeschooled teens the opportunity to explore different genres, develop a writing practice, and receive mentorship tailored to their voice and goals.
Course Goals
Master storytelling essentials: character, plot, and setting.
Explore poetry, short stories, and personal narrative.
Develop creativity, clarity, and confidence in written expression.
Build a foundation for future writing projects and self-expression.
How Classes Work
Once or twice per week, 75 minutes per session.
Rolling start year-round; one-on-one support for any missed sessions.
Materials: notebook and pen, laptops or tablets optional.
Classes are live, interactive, and workshop-based.

Twice per week: Extended projects, peer workshops, and deeper exploration.

January–February: Short stories – narrative structure and experimentation.

May–June: Final project – portfolio-ready work, mentorship, and reflection.

Month 5–6: Short story development – drafting, revision, and peer feedback.
Month 7–8: Personal narrative – memoir, journaling, and expressive prose.
Month 9–10: Advanced storytelling – world-building, dialogue, and thematic exploration.
Month 11–12: Major project & showcase – final portfolio, group feedback, and presentation.
Both programs follow the student’s school year (August–June).
Individual students max 6 per class; private groups have no limit.
Programs can meet once or twice per week.
